About Malynda
MOST PEOPLE KNOW ME AS A…
Fitness Trainer, Class Instructor, Bikini Competitor.
Over the past 10+ years, I have been a fitness trainer/group exercise instructor at different types of gyms, which gave me so much insight on HOW and WHY people start their health journey. I wanted a place where people can come together, not only for motivation and a killer workout, but also to be part of a community where people enjoy living a healthy lifestyle. My ARMY is more than just "clients" to me; they are like family, who I would do anything for.
When you are a part of an industry that is changing everyday, you have to stay up to date with the latest trends. One of the sports that I tried was bodybuilding in the bikini division. I learned so much about the sport and how much dedication it takes to get your body to that point mentally and physically. When you get out of your comfort zone and try out different types of training, it helps to become a more well rounded trainer.
MY CLOSE FRIENDS KNOW ME AS A..
Dog Mom, Aunt MinMin, Business Owner.
Princess Izabella, my fur-child, my savior, my service dog, my guardian angel, my best friend, and my hero. How can she be all of that? Well that’s another story that I will share one day. My niece moved in with me in 2018 and she was a light that we all needed, even Izabella. She is such a bright, amazing little girl that I am so proud to call my niece. Aside from the babies, my business is my LIFE. Everyday I wake up and go to work and end my night with even more work. The long days make my business so much more important to me and I wouldn’t change it for anything!
PEOPLE FROM COLLEGE KNOW ME AS A..
Video Editor, Sorority Girl, Student Athlete.
College is full of experiences regardless if you are involved on campus or just setting up the rest of your life. The University that I attended offered opportunities to be a part of many organizations so I took advantage of this my freshman year. Sometimes, if you are a collegiate athlete, your ONE and ONLY goal is to be the best athlete and student that you can be without any other distractions. I played soccer and was able to pledge to a sorority (Delta Zeta. Where my DZ’s at?), and was able to be a part of many more organizations. Being a part of so many organizations helped teach me how to manage my time and priorities REAL QUICK. However, the most important part of being in college is obviously your studies. I will never forget two professors who helped me figure out what I was going to do in my life…
Kim Quigley, Ph.D, R.D. (Nutrition, Kinesiology & Health Studies)
Mark Scott (Film Production, Editing, Broadcasting, and so on.. he is brilliant!)
They both have inspired me in more ways than they will ever know. They were both so passionate about what they were teaching and I remember thinking to myself that I wanted a career like that. Dr. Quigley gave me a different outlook on nutrition and made me realize how important the food we put into our body is. She also showed me how a healthy nutrition program can help our bodies more than just look aesthetically pleasing. Mark Scott taught me so much in all of his classes, but I fell in love with editing instantly because of how you can tell a story with a 1 minute or 60 minute film and haven’t stopped editing since.
PEOPLE FROM MY HOMETOWN KNOW ME AS A..
Dance Teacher, Pageant Girl, Family Person.
Small town, but never small people. My first job was when I was 12 years old, teaching gymnastics and dance. Dance has always been a huge part of my life, but realized around 18 that I am a much better choreographer than a performer. I was able to teach at multiple studios around Oklahoma. Pageants were big in my life, specifically because they offered college scholarships and if sports didn’t work out, then me and my mom had a back-up plan. There were so many long days and nights rehearsing for my competitions but my family was always right beside me giving their support.
Thank You.
I’ve been faced with challenges and obstacles in my my life so far, but all of them made me who I am today. I hope that you feel like you know me a little bit more and continue to support our family here at Malynda’s Army. Thank you for visiting our blog, I hope the content that I post will help in some way or another!
